We accept all types of literary submissions, including poetry and short stories. We also accept photography, comics, sketches, paintings, sculptures, 3D art (the last three need to be in photo form). For more info, contact us.

CAN I SUBMIT WORK THAT DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE CURRENT THEME?

It depends. We do like to keep our topics broad to accommodate a greater number of pieces, but if you are unsure whether your piece will work, contact us and we'll try our best to work out the details.

DO I HAVE TO BE A WRITER OR ARTIST TO JOIN LITMAG?

No, being a writer or artist is not required. There are plenty of other jobs that don't require these skills. However, if you are a writer or artist, there are positions for you as well.

DO I HAVE TO JOIN LITMAG TO SUBMIT WORK?

No. Any student at BCA can submit work to LitMag, even if they are not a member.

DO I HAVE TO JOIN A DEPARTMENT TO BE PART OF LITMAG?

Yes. We divide our work into three departments to make it easier to create our magazines. If you wish to be part of LitMag, you need to join a department. Please refer to the question below for descriptions of our departments.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS IN THE CLUB?

We have three departments: the Editorial Department, the Department of Design and Publishing, and the Department of Communication and Public Relations.
The Editorial Department consists of editors who review all of the written content which goes into our magazine.
The Department of Design and Publishing is responsible for creating the formatted magazine using Adobe InDesign (and for printing, collating, and stitching physical editions).
The Department of Communication and Public Relations notifies the school about upcoming events and fundraisers and is responsible for promoting our club.
